I like to compete in both Smash Bros. Ultimate & Melee as an amateur! I love how they allow me to practice my pattern recognition skills (since they're not that good).

As a relatively new anime watcher, I've started to enjoy the genre as a delicate art form and how the various sub-genres portray the human condition.
Although I do not currently play any competitive sports, I enjoy casually watching and talking about sports due to the various intricacies - strategy, work ethic, 'clutch' factor, etc.
When I have the time (which sadly isn't often), I try to keep up. Currently seeking books and podcasts about behavioral patterns and trends in society (both fiction and non-fiction).
I'm easily scared by horror movies, but I'm a big fan of cheeky comedies and romance movies (and sometimes dramas)! And I'm always down for a silly Disney film.
Because of my theory training and affinity for puzzle-solving, I love analyzing and deconstructing songs - especially those from the world of musical theatre, where emotional narration is arguably more prevalent than in any other genre.
Biggest tier list influence: advantage state. Characters like Mario, Bayonetta, and Sheik, whose combo routes are being optimized (i.e., longer advantage states), have the highest potential to move up in the current meta. Because neutral openers will lead to more damage output, slower characters like Wolf and Byleth will likely move down despite their results. This is why I believe glass cannon characters like Fox and Sheik (and even Mii Brawler) should be ranked higher.
Characters that show the most promise to move up due to results: Lucas, Ice Climbers, Jigglypuff.
Characters that I want to see more from: Shulk, Donkey Kong, Banjo & Kazooie.
Hot take: The rise of Fighter Pass 2 characters in the meta - especially Steve, Aegis, and Kazuya - is good for the game and was inevitable. It forces players to practice/grind tech and defense more, making sets much more competitive and thus more entertaining from a spectator’s perspective.
Favorite SSBU character: Diddy Kong! I love his smooth movement, burst options, and flexibility/control in neutral thanks to banana. Just super fun to play overall.
Favorite SSBU player: Marss. I love his reckless creativity even though it can backfire, but it’s awesome seeing the risk-reward pay off (in contrast to the more defensive gameplay from players like Dabuz and Gluttony or optimized gameplay from players like ESAM or Riddles).
Main: Pokemon Trainer
Others: Sonic, Pit, Corrin, Mr. Game & Watch, Meta Knight, Mewtwo, Donkey Kong, Inkling, Fox/Falco, Captain Falcon, Kirby, Young Link
Biggest tier list influence: the meta. It seems like players are pushing punish game of the top tiers to the limits, which is why I think Fox, Marth, and Sheik are the top 3 characters in the game. Falco and Jigglypuff mains will be forced to think more creatively to play offense at their pace.
Characters that show the most promise to move up due to results: Yoshi, Ice Climbers, Donkey Kong.
Favorite SSBM character: Falco! Magi’s trademark short hop up-air as a combo extender is my favorite move in the game.
Favorite SSBM players: Mang0 and aMSa. Mang0 for his swagger in his gameplay throughout his entire career, aMSa for his incredible work ethic, innovative problem-solving, and great personality :)
Main: Marth
Others: Falco, Fox, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff
